In the Spring of 2025, I had the opportunity to study abroad at Salford University, located in Manchester, England. It was a truly life-changing experience, one that gave me a new perspective on community and sustainability. I was also able to visit Stockholm, Barcelona, Amsterdam, and Edinburgh, each offering a unique cultural perspective. While at university, I participated in the creation of a 36-minute podcast and was able to conduct a full-length interview with an actor based in the U.S. and share it with my UK peers. Another highlight was touring Can Banal, an off-grid campsite on nationally protected land in Spain. This five-month journey broadened my outlook and continues to shape the path I’m taking in my career.
